In the last few weeks, Tiktok as a company has faced a lot of pressure from the administration of Trump. Trump wanted an American company to purchase the business of Tiktok in the United States. This is quite a complicated deal as Tiktok is a global company. But if they do not agree to Trump’s decision then the Tiktok app would be banned in the US completely. Microsoft has been the first company that has showed an interest to purchase the company. Apart from Microsoft, Oracle and Netflix are other companies that have shown similar interests. There also had meetings with the Chinese parent company, ByteDance to discuss about the takeover. Recently, Tiktok has also filed a law suit against the administration of Trump because he has tried to ban all transactions with the parent company of Tiktok. Tiktok says that they are not taking the administration of Trump lightly, however, what they are concerned about is the fact that nobody has tried to address their concerns. It is for this reason that they have decided to file a law suit to protect the rights of their employees and communities.
