In the month of June 2020 Ming-chi-Kuo revealed the fact that Apple would come up with an entry level ipad during the second half of the year 2020. The size of this ipad would also increase a bit and from the existing 10.2 inches, it would go up to 10.8 inches. This design would also suggest a move towards the design change of the ipad pro. This will help in cutting down the screen to the bezel ration to a great extent. If a new leak from 91 mobiles is to be believed, then it appears that the predictions made by Ming Chi Kuo are all true.
The schematic shows that there is just one camera at the back of the device where as the current IPad batch have a dual array plus LiDar. This is quite sensible as there are very few people who actually use cameras in the tablets. Moreover, the schematic shows that this is a device that has quite a good future. In order to allow a larger screen, the bezels are thinner. This means that the Touch ID does not have any fingerprint reader that is either visible in the front or back.
There are also a couple of other interesting things that are to be noted here. The first thing is that it is necessary for you to have a smart connector at the back and this according to 91mobiles will allow for the magic keyboard support. Moreover, as per the site, Apple would be ditching the lightening cable in favor of USB-C on the recent pro models. Lastly, as per the schematic there would be two speaker grills at the bottom and this would be more for symmetry rather than for a guarantee that the sound will be improved. There is no mention about specifications, however, the new model will certainly have a speed boost.
